Can I cancel the tour 1 day before departure?
You can cancel the 1 day tour 24 hours before departure with full refund as there is a 24-hour cancellation policy, which allows you to change/cancel or refund your booking up to 24 hours outside your booked tour.
Does this tour have a minimum number of participants?
The minimum number of participants for this tour is 6 people. If the minimum is not met, Banff Journey reserves the right to either cancel the tour or offer an alternative itinerary to the travelers.
Do I need to bring my own lunch?
Yes, we recommend that you bring your own lunch, as there are limited food options available at the stops on this tour. We also provide hot drinks to help you warm up during the winter.
Is tipping required during the tour?
While tipping is not mandatory, a small cash service fee of CAD $15 per guest is customary. This is a way to thank your guide or driver for their hard work throughout the day. We greatly appreciate your understanding and generosity!
When is the bubble lake beat view time?
The best time to view the ice bubbles at the lake is from January to February. It usually starts freezing in mid-November or early December, but the exact timing varies each year depending on weather conditions.
Since 2025 is a warmer winter, the viewing season for the ice bubbles has been shortened. We will provide alternative itineraries to ensure our guests have the best possible chance to witness this unique phenomenon.
