Banff Journey (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates banffjourney.org and provides guided tours of the Canadian Rockies. Our registered address is 500 4 Ave SW #2500, Calgary, AB T2P 2V6. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information when you book a tour, contact us, or browse our website. This may include: Booking information (name, email, phone, pickup location, group size); Payment information (processed securely through Stripe; we do not store card details on our servers); Communications (messages via contact form, email, or WhatsApp); Usage data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit, collected automatically via cookies and analytics).
3. How We Use Your Information
To process and manage bookings and payments; send confirmations, pre-tour info and service updates; respond to enquiries; send marketing where you’ve opted in (unsubscribe anytime); improve our website, tours and guest experience through analytics; and meet legal and accounting obligations.
4. Photography & Video
By booking a tour you acknowledge that we may photograph or film guests for promotional use across our website and social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and similar). If you prefer not to be included, notify your guide at the start of the tour and we’ll respect your wishes. Photographs are never sold to third parties.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted third-party service providers (payment processor, email marketing platform, web analytics) under appropriate data-processing agreements, or where required by law or to protect guests and staff.
6. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses cookies to enhance browsing and understand how visitors use the site (via Google Analytics). You can control cookies via your browser; disabling them may affect certain features. We use only first-party and essential third-party cookies; we do not engage in behavioural advertising.
7. Data Retention
We retain booking records for seven years as required by Canadian accounting and tax legislation. Marketing and communication data is retained until you opt out. You may request deletion at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.
8. Your Rights

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures — including SSL encryption and PCI-compliant payment processing — to protect your data. No internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
